Word in Black to host its first virtual event

Ten of the nation’s leading Black publishers have come together to reimagine the Black press in America. “Word in Black frames the narrative and fosters solutions for racial inequities in America.”
The newly formed collaborative has joined with the Local Media Association to produce articles about the impact of COVID-19 and is preparing their first virtual event series titled “THIS IS A MOMENT IN TIME.” The conversations will focus on voting with purpose.
The October 20th virtual event will stream at 6 p.m. ET on WordinBlack.com, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms and is free to view. Register for email updates about the event.
