The research in this report comes from a project between NCGrowth Smart-Up and Substantial Magazine. NCGrowth Smart-Up is a program through the Kenan-Flagler Business School at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill which provides consulting services to local businesses and entrepreneurs in efforts to connect them to better resources as well as strengthen their economic ecosystems.
In a previous article we announced that Substantial had been selected to join the NCGrowth-SmartUp program. As part of this program we get the pleasure of working with NCGrowth staff member Nicole Outlaw, SmartUp Program Manager and student analyst Jaelon Talley to develop a report that highlights the importance of Black Media and gather as much data and research as we can for Substantial to be able to take a data-centered approach to their growth and future partnerships.
