Annual Celebration of Minority Enterprise Development in Charlotte NC
[Charlotte, NC] Substantial Magazine announces their role as an official media sponsor for the 2021 Charlotte MED Week. The week-long celebration is a nationwide movement that is celebrated in cities across the country. The City of Charlotte is celebrating 11 years hosting this interactive series of events. After having to shift to a virtual format last year, the Committee is excited to be able to execute a series of hybrid events that allow people to gather with the proper safety protocols.
The event will run from October 11th-14th and will consist of several workshops, information sessions, a Business Expo, and an Awards Luncheon. Substantial will be instrumental in providing pre and post event coverage that honors minority business owners. Although this is the 11th year for the City of Charlotte, Minority Enterprise Development Week was established in 1983 to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of minority business enterprises, as well as honor corporations and institutions supporting minority business development. With the assistance of a growing committee and an increasing amount of sponsorship dollars, The City of Charlotte has experienced an increase in attendees year after year.
As strong supporters of business development in the black and brown communities, Substantial is honored to be able to support the City of Charlotte and the business owners who have contributed to long standing growth over the years. During Charlotte MED Week, attendees will be able to attend workshops on topics such as human resources, financial stability, and relationship building. There will also be information on strategies for Covid survival. Topping off the week of events will be an awards luncheon honoring local business owners who have made an impact in a variety of industries.
