Below are a few key things to know when voting in this years 2020 election.
1- A valid ID is not necessary in every state. Check with your state beforehand to be aware of the regulations.
2- Some states will automatically send mail in ballots, but others will require that you request a mail-in ballot. Check with your home state to see what the requirements are in your respective state.
3- If you are in line when the polls close, stay in line – you still have the right to vote as long as you were in line before the polls have closed.
4- If you make a mistake on your ballot, you have the right to ask for a new one.
5- If the machines go down at your polling place, ask for a paper ballot.
